Puppy Socialization

This was Molly's first experience with puppy class. She attended 5 1-hour sessions (Feb. 24-March 24, 2007)and we worked on sit, stay, come when called, down and heel. Her classmates included 6 German Shepherds (all from the same litter) and one little Shitzu.

Molly was 19 weeks old when the class finished. Here she is with her graduation trophy for the dog with the best temperament. Graduation day was March 24, 2007.

PET SMART PUPPY CLASS

Molly's Pet Smart classes started March 25, so she went right from one class to the next. She loved Laurie, her instructor and her 7 classmates: Lucy, Macie, Toby, Jake, Sasha, Charlie & Bailey. Graduation day, May 13, 2007 was great fun. The pups paraded through 11 different stations set up throughout the store, performing a different command at each station. After they completed the training test they returned to the ring where they all got their diplomas and posed for pictures wearing their caps. Laurie baked some special treats for them to eat when they got home. Molly gives Laurie's homemade biscuits a big paws-up!

BASIC OBEDIENCE AT PURRFECT PAWS

Molly was enrolled in the Intermediate Obedience class, but we were the only dog that signed up. I opted to place her in the Basic class as a refresher and something to keep her skills up. The 8-week course ran the month of July & August and she graduates next week.
